Stopped by here on a whim and decided I had to check it out if the parking lot was packed and the drive through was wrapping around. It definitely tracks too since the flavor of everything was on point
I ordered a loaded bbq potato w/brisket, the potato was huge however the lil bit of what was supposed to be brisket was all fat the bbq sauce was disgusting taste like the end of the hienz 57 bottle and then water was added. Complete trash!!!!!!!
Every time I visit Charleston, this place is number one on my list for dinner. The catfish is always fresh and delicious, the cheesy muffins are to die for, and the BBQ ribs are out of this world delicious . I highly recommend visiting.
Long time jim n nicks eater, and one if my favorite bbq places but as of 2024 service has declined. Not sure if management or staffing has changed but I’ll be looking for a new usual spot. Bad service on repetitive outings.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a review on the food because we never got the chance to order. The hostess sat us at a table and we sat there waiting on a server. We waited 15-20 minutes and, not one of the 5 servers that walked by us acknowledged us. One waitress walked by us twice and purposefully did not look at us. As I got up to leave a waitress came through the door looked our way and turned away to look at the wall. Not one person said hello, or anything. Not again. I couldn’t even see a manager as we walked to the door. The restaurant was not busy and two servers went over to empty tables to straighten them. I’m a tipper so their loss.
Jim nNicks is a family favorite.
