JIAO by Qing Xiang Yuan Dumplings

Really really good dumplings!! Our food came out super quick and were reasonably priced. We ordered the chicken, lamb, and truffle/beef dumplings. They were all so delicious that we went back and ordered seconds before we even finished our first order. The truffle/beef dumplings were by far my favorite. Make sure to get them pan fried too!

The vibe is cute and clean but damn it hurts to pay so much for what should be cheap, quick, and delicious. I know this is the Loop but I am very jaded after living in Taipei and paying under $5 for twice as much food as I received here. The dumplings were fine, the tea was yummy, and the cucumber salad was just ok. The prices were really what turned me off overall.

Literally so so delicious. The dumplings, the sides, the boba!!!l As if that’s not enough, the place is so cute and always super clean. The to go packing is really nice - only one small complaint that I think will probably be resolved soon is for the last month or so they’ve had boba straws that are too short for the cups they sell the boba in. Love this place, I got once a week!

Sadly will never return. This was my first time trying this place btw: Came in at 11am and no other customers were there, I was excited to try this place but upon going up to the counter the employee told me to go sit down until I’m ready to order… when I went up to ask questions about the menu she seemed bothered and when I asked about pricing, With an attitude she goes “The prices are RIGHT there” I’m sorry but what happened to treating people with respect & common decency? Disgusted with her demeanor which unfortunately tainted my experience with Jiao.

I got the steamed beef and pork dumpling…it was really juicy but there wasn’t much flavor to it. It was really bland.

Dumplings are flavorful and well cooked. I got the sampler platter and enjoyed all flavors. It didn't take too long to receive my meal, and service was friendly.
