This is a groundbreaking Korean-style restaurant where each dish will amaze your taste buds. I can't recommend their high-quality service and extraordinary culinary delights enough. By the way, the braised short ribs are my favorite.

I really enjoyed the concept of the restaurant which I could feel the legit traditional Korean vibes. I would recommend to have Pork Jowl. It was tender and soft. Beef Brisket Risotto was my favorite. Unutterable tastes. They also have quite a lot of vegan options too! The service, of course was awesome :)

Jess another restaurant?!? This is another one of those places I meant to come by when it first opened, but better late then never right? This place is located in the heart of Kerrisdale, right on west 41st avenue. There are paid street parkings available. Inside is quite spectacular with its layouts and furnishings. It feels more like walking into a futuristic diner than modern contemporary place. The atmosphere is an experience itself. Here were the food I ordered; 1. Blue haneul. A nice little refreshing drink. 2. Pumpkin soup. Nice and hot, revealing all of its tasty ingredients. I really enjoyed this soup. 3. Fresh oysters. Very fresh and tasty! 4. Oyster pancakes. Each ingredient complimented each other pretty well and didn’t take away the spotlights of the oysters. 5. Deep fried chicken wing tower. Not too fond of this dish, a bit dry. 6. Mackerel combo. The mackerel had a nice tender texture and the ingredients helped mask a bit of the string mackerel smell. Nice little combo with the stone bowl rice. 7. Abalone and scallop hot stone bowl rice. Not a fan of fresh small abalones therefore this dish didn’t do it for me. Overall, I was quite happy with the friendly and attentive services, very nice and warm ambience, and the modern take on Korean cuisine certainly intrigued the taste buds. I would love to go back and try out other dishes for dinner. I think the only thing that I am so so on was the abalone & scallop hot stone bowl rice, I had to order a poached egg to add to it to make it better. Nevertheless, good food… good service… good atmosphere! It’s not Jess another restaurant, it’s Jess’ Restaurant!

Celebrated Valentine's Day with my girlfriend. The food was outstanding, and the cozy ambiance set the perfect tone. Attentive staff and delicious dishes made it a memorable evening. Highly recommend for your special day.

My first visit since they changed their concept. Same owner; now Korean food. I love the lunch menu; it’s organized into small, medium and large items and the variety looks great. We had an item from each section plus more and enjoyed everything. The service was top-notch. Kudos to Joanne! Also, they gave a complimentary box of 3 house-made macarons to the birthday girl. We’ll be back.
