If there was a way to give zero stars, you would have earned it as a review today. I waited over 40 minutes to place an order and was completely ignored by the chef(?). I watched as hummus was plated, and then taken off the plate and returned back into its container for future service. French fries were plated and then removed from the plate to be put back into the fry basket. Chicken kabobs were partially cooked on the flat griddle and returned to the walk in cooler for future use (partially cooked). The chef(?) Uses putty knives to chop meats on the griddle. Pita bread dropped onto the floor and served to customers. I'm actually glad the cook chose not to acknowledge me and made me feel like I was not welcome after seeing how the food is prepared. This is not Israeli hospitality. I'm sorry if my appearance made you decide I was not worth doing business with (my shaved head is due to health issues), but thank you for saving me from what would have been food poisoning at the very least. The only thing you will get from the Jerusalem Grill is a feeling that you do not belong and physical illness from their food handling practices. Take your money and spend it elsewhere. Hopefully this place is not open for much longer and is replaced with a restaurant that is willing to serve everyone regardless of their outer appearance. As an update to your response: If it wasn't the chef, it was your cook. I watched your cook plate the meals of a family who ordered while I waited, removing food from the plates and placing them back into storage containers for future service. There was a husband, wife and two sons sitting at the table waiting on their food. Your cook had to light the vertical gas broiler that the shawarma was rotating on as it was not cooking food but doing an incredible job of displaying it. I arrived at your restaurant at approximately 1:05pm and finally walked out the door at 1:50pm. If you have cameras, take a peek. There was no lunch rush, just a family of four, one patron ordering takeout and myself in the shop. Your cook had no issue taking orders and conversing with the other customers, so why the nasty looks towards me and refusal to even greet me let alone take an order from me? If you are the "new management" the shop is currently under (according to the sign in the window) it's time to check up on how the employees are treating customers. If you are the owner, it's time for a new cook. I encourage you to take a look and make adjustments before someone gets seriously ill. As for potential future customers, there are plenty of fantastic Israeli restaurants in the area with welcoming staff and incredible food, and I would recommend any of them over this place.
Not for me. Bad experience from the get go.
Rip off. $28 for that garbage on the foil paper. Supposed to be the Jerusalem mix. Burned falafel.
Dietary restrictions: I had the sabich. It was delicious! The accompanying vegetables and salads were wonderful, except for the Israeli Salad. It was way too salty. There is no reason to add so much salt to Israeli Salad!
The Kosher Place over 441.
Crapola! They probably don't change the frying oil - black fries. Prices are through the roof. Quality is very poor. Stay away!!!
Horrible, avoid for your health. See attached picture, fries fried in old oil never changed! Meat smell rotten
