My wife ordered two subs from the mobile app for pickup, both contained portobello mushrooms as an ingredient. When we got to the store, the server said that they unfortunately ran out of the mushrooms and could only make one sandwich. Sucks, but understandable because it happens and no way the app would know that. But the next steps are what I’m giving this negative review for. The server was unable to give us back a refund (I can’t recall if we were given an option of another sandwich but it didn’t matter because we weren’t interested in another one). Instead, she gave us a business card that had the owner’s contact info and said he’d be able to do a chargeback for the missing sandwich. My wife tried calling multiple times over the next two days, sent texts, and he finally responded to one text saying “sorry for the inconvenience” but offered no resolution and disappeared again. We’ve already disputed with our credit card. Again, stuff happens, I get it, but don’t charge for something not provided and then not make it a priority to resolve for the customer, to me that’s unacceptable.
