Finally, a great place where you can get some good Jamaican food in the heart of midtown. Their curried goat with white rice, plantains, and steamed cabbage was totally delicious. I also tried their fried chicken, and that too was good, which was crispy on the outside and juicy/well seasoned in the inside. Take your meal to go or sit at the few stools available in the waiting area. For a good ole home cooked Jamaican meal, go to the Jerk House and eat to your heart's content. Parking: Location is on a busy side street. So, it's better to call and order ahead so that you can run in, grab and go.
Food was okay, got the Jerked chicken. I was really disappointed with how many bones are chopped In and mixed with the food it almost blends in.
The ladies behind the counter were extremely friendly and welcoming. Loved the food and will be back for more.
This place is awesome! Great food, and all of the ladies who work here are super kind, generous, and make the dining experience fun :) highly recommend the brown stew chicken meal and Mac and cheese!
Tastes too good! Go to school nearby and decided to check this place out after a stressful exam, took one bite and instantly forgot how bad I did on my exam. Jerk chicken had authentic jerk flavor, rice and peas were fresh and hot, fried plantain wasn’t oily either, I mean overall a 10/10 flavor experience. Not to mention that proportion to price is more than reasonable especially in Manhattan. I will definitely be coming back, and recommend anyone to visit who wants a taste of Jamaica. Staff was super friendly and welcoming as well, you can tell they take real pride in what they’re doing here. Can’t recommend this place enough, definitely a must-try!
