I picked up dinner from this location on Thursday March March 7 and I got a half a chicken with extra sauce. I am home now and the chicken is so tough, I cannot discern if it is undercooked or if it’s just old. The bread was old, but there was no blood inside of the chicken so it may just be old. I tried to call the store. They did not answer and the mailbox is full. That was pleasant, but this was subpar.
My company bought a ton of ribs and chicken for our office, Now I have not been to Jenkins but heard about them. Once the food got here I looked at these little tiny bone ribs that were overcooked and lost my appetite. I did however try a few -sometimes the food might look bad somewhere but tastes great. The ribs- cooked either at to high a temp or for to long. They were tough on outer side and what meat could be scraped up was dry. The chicken was dry as a charcoal briquette. I was so disappointed. When I make bbq for 30-40 people and want that business back I make sure it’s done right.
Go to the one on new kings , I ordered online , get there they are out of corn nuggets so I substitute with fries so I basically pay $1.30 for more fries , fine then they forgot my drink but so did I still that another $2.50 ! Then with the amount of non edible fat/grissle on the sandwich I'm pretty unhappy , never had this problem with the one on new kings !
These places make reviews easy since this is my first and last visit to this dive. Picture shows the chicken/rib snack pack. 2 tiny pieces of chicken missing half the skin and 2 tough ribs with very little meat and 2 tiny sides. With a medium tea that’s $22!!! Ridiculous. Go to Bono’s or somewhere else and get 1.5-2x as much food at much, much higher quality. Note to restaurant: WHY ask the customer what kind of bbq sauce if you’re just going to give them whatever you randomly choose anyway? Service could’ve been a lot friendlier too. They weren’t busy at all (only me) so no excuse for this over priced, LOW QUALITY, tiny meal is acceptable.
