So, I left a 1 -star review regarding service I received last week, and it has since been removed. Long story short, I paid almost $17 for a veggie plate that was not good. All of my food was cold, and the serving size was small. My collards juice soaked up in the PAPER containers they use. My mac n cheese was soupy, not creamy, cold, and flavorless. The fried okra was soggy from the juices being everywhere. The thing that prompted me to write this review Wasn't even the code, soupy, soggy plate. It was the fact that the container that my beans were in were not in a small paper bag like they usually are. The young girl set them on top of the plate and didn't tie the bag... when I picked the bag up, the beans fell on the floor landing on the top..... they did not fall out of the container but the container did leak a little bit. The girl came from behind, the counter, picked the container up off the floor while it was leaking, and placed it right back in my bag. That was extremely unsanitary, and disgusting. She could have at least offered a new container or a new replacement. So, instead of working that hard to have my review removed, maybe you should work harder on Providing better customer service. I also noted in my last review that the quality and the service of this place used to be phenomenal, but it has extremely going down since last year.
I’m not from the area so I asked one of my staff, where is the best bbq. That recommended JD. I was so excited because I love some good bbq..It took 10 min to get sat, then another 15 min to get acknowledged at table. Mind you there were only four other tables with plenty of staff.I was so disappointed because I’m in management myself at a nearby restaurant and know the importance of great customer service. I finally received food. Ribs, Mac and cheese, and okra. Everything was cold but the okra. I just boxed up my meal and left. Don’t even know if food is tasteful or not. My suggestion is to be more attentive and make sure your food goes out with proper temp………
