Went to this bar for the super bowl and was demanded tip from the bartender with a lot of makeup on? Very rude service! She told us we had to tip her? If not we were getting kicked out! So she kicked us out of the bar! And told us we could never come back!! How rude!!!!!
Absolutely terrible other than the server. Presented food that I didn't feel comfortable feeding my 2 year old and we didn't want to eat it either! Has the ownership changed??? Used to really love eating here!
Food not good like it use to
Menu is not very extensive. We had finger foods and those were good. It's more of a dive bar after work coworker place rather than lunch restaurant.
A nice place with owners that definitely care about their clientele.
This place sucked. I hate that you pay for music in the jukebox and the dj comes in and they turn it off That is all after if they approve of what you were playing because they have a remote and can skip your songs as if they would have been Free!!
Plenty of space for customers, great atmosphere, TVs and a view to enjoy over Denver
My partner and I dined at Jay's regularly before Covid, but during Covid we learned how to cook, so a meal out is a rarity. We were at Jay's around 2:30, slow crowd, but Amy was the only server/bartender, so she had lots to do. That said, I wasn't the least bit unhappy with the service. Amy was conversational, professional, fun and funny, related that her mother had had a skunk as a pet. Partner's burger looked amazing and he told me it tasted great. I had a salad and onion rings. The salad had a mixture of greens, super fresh, and the honey mustard dressing was just what the doctor ordered. The onion rings were over the top. I don't drink alcohol before happy hour, so I asked for fake beer. Amy showed me a couple varieties, and I chose a Samuel Adams IPA. It's not as hoppy as some IPA's, maybe a little wheatier(?), but I loved it and I'll look for it again when I want to enjoy fake beer. A ding on Jay's atmosphere: The sound system might have been designed for a quieter restaurant environment, but with louder volumes it's abrasive. I enjoyed Jay's and definitely recommend, especially if you like the bar/bar food environment.
