Jax’s Studio City

The sports bar lounge extension provided a mediocre experience with confusing decor, predictable menu, and lackluster service. The atmosphere lacked energy, and the overall vibe was just sad. I was excited to try the famous meemaws beer cheese. The foul beer cheese exhibited an unpleasant amalgamation of rancid flavors, with an overpowering combination of spoiled beer and off-putting cheese notes. The texture was oddly gritty, and the aftertaste left a lingering bitterness that was far from appetizing. This unfortunate concoction failed to deliver the savory and enjoyable experience one would expect from Brittany’s meemaw making it a regrettable choice for us. I give it two stars because I did get a sighting of the beautiful pregnant Brittany. She’s even more stunning in person. Congrats on baby number two Jax and B!!

I’m not a big fan of crowded places and this being a dive spot had the pro of being nearly empty, but I would have given a higher rating if it weren’t for the creepy bearded guy that kept recording people all night without their permission. Food and drinks were underwhelming and not worth the price. Doubt I’d return or recommend to others when there’s better spots nearby.

The vibe is very... strange. Like family style long picnic tables inside, but it's supposed to be a bar? Food was okay, but nothing to write home about and also very overpriced for what it was ($17 for a bar pretzel and cheese sauce). Servers were kind but not very attentive and messed up our order. Environment is also very small. Obviously this is due to the space, but due to the small space and odd decor, it feels like a roadtrip lunch stop rather than a community-oriented bar.

Had a delightful time at Jax’s ! The food was tasty, service was friendly, and the valet service made parking a breeze. Overall, a down-to-earth experience with a touch of convenience. Definitely a spot to return to

Honestly was shocked at how awesome this place is. Our server Griffin was super attentive and friendly. The food is absolutely delicious and very affordable. The beer cheese is iconic. Bartender made us mocktails which was very nice of them. Karaoke is free and a lot of fun. Would absolutely come back, not even because of VPR, but because it’s a super cool spot.

When me and my husband first walked in the employees were so welcoming, friendly and I felt right at home and laughed with the most awesome Bartender who took care of us and made the best drinks. We ordered the mozzarella sticks they were so amazing. Then the cauliflower bites (delicious) My husband had the Italian sandwich OH wow it was so good and the bread I would love to know where I can buy it (Yummy) and really soft. I had the Chopped Antipasta salad so good and a big portion which I ate it all . The atmosphere was so fun, comfortable and lots of nice people having a fun time singing . We will definitely take the 1hr and 30min drive to have some more good food, drinks and enjoy watching games on the many tvs . Thank you staff for being so friendly and having a few laughs telling our stories .
