I wanted to give this place a visit. It wasn't only about the pies but Mrs Jawanda as well. A very serene pleasant atmosphere. I'm glad I finally got up and made myself drive to the location. I have no regrets I ate a lie got prayer and still I left feeling so much better than when I arrober! Thank you Mrs Jawanda..... T

Obviously made with love; this place offers a variety of desserts, but specializes in sweet potato pies. It was a pleasure meeting JaWanda and I will definitely return for more.

Omg! Excellent! Great customer service. We went back today, for opening after the owner's surgery. My husband has been desperately awaiting the reopening. They baked our pies fresh and they are DELICIOUS!

These sweet potato pies were absolutely amazing!! Split it with my college friends and we all ascended into heaven upon one bite. JaWanda is amazing, get her pies!!!!!!!!!!

You absolutely have to try these pies. One of the best things I’ve ever tasted. In addition to the amazing pies and cakes, the customer service here is absolutely impeccable. It was my first time visiting and I will, without a doubt, be returning for more! My grandmother passed away not too long ago. She use to bake sweet potato pies often and to walk in and not only smell that sweet smell of pies baking, but to also see one of my grandmother’s favorite scriptures across the wall “O taste and see that the Lord is good.” It felt like it was meant to be. Everything about this place made my entire morning!

I first laid eyes on Jawanda’s Sweet Potatoe Pies, I knew I had to obtain one of her award winning pies. After months of waiting, I finally decided to get on. When I say I am a changed man, this is no lie. I felt my soul leave my body when I took the first bite. Jawanda you are an idol to all, and a blessing from Allah.

Service is excellent, sweet potato pie is great. But, $25 for a pie is way too much.

Jawanda, thank you for returning my phone call and for your kind spirit. I am home enjoying a slice of your delicious sweet potato pie, as I work and sip an afternoon cuppa java. I hope to meet you in person during my next visit to the beautiful city of Birmingham.
