Decent produce, some items like takoyaki were missing. Good offers The person at the till was huffing and puffing with customers who wanted their cards stamped or any discount, needs better training.

£5 ramen deal was good! Food was piping hot but did take about 20+mins to cook so not as quick as regular fast food/food hall. Noodles were bouncy and nice flavour. The broth forms a layer of it's untouched for a minute but doesn't affect the flavour. I probably wouldn't pay £13.90 for it normally but would come again on a Monday.

Overall: ★★★★☆ A respectable four stars only because I enjoyed the pumpkin croquettes and Japanese curry. Otherwise it would have been an overall three. Ichiba occupies a large floor space on the Wood Lane exit and away from all the main shops which is why it’s never that busy. It’s clean, seems fresh and although quite a sterile atmosphere it’s decent. Food: Japanese What I liked: • Clean • Nicely laid out • Wide range of food both fresh and pre made What I didn’t like: • High price point which is why it’s not packed and has no long term prospects • Service not very friendly - remember, consumers have choices! • The pre made sushi bowls, rolls and sashimi are just too cold and whilst I understand they need to be for health & safety reasons the rice gets hard and it’s just not nice. Plus super expensive at £12 for a free slivers of salmon on white rice in a plastic bowl. • TOO MUCH PLASTIC PACKAGING!! Do I recommend going? YES Will I go again? YES Was it good value? NO Price Point: $$ Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: Mainly meat and seafood being prepared in an open kitchen. Not sure how cross contamination is handled but it’s clearly very clean. Parking: Parking directly below. Kid-friendliness: Definitely. Kids will love this place and there are plenty of foods and novelty items suitable for children. Wheelchair accessibility: A large, well spaced out store with plenty of room for a wheelchair to move around without feeling cramped or an inconvenience.

Food is always great , it's not always easy to find a table. If you're lucky, there will be free samples to try.

A great place to either go grocery shopping or to eat Japanese food. The food I had was delicious and seemed very affordable

Very good food! I had the bone broth ramen which was amazing, and everyone else loved their dish too. There was also edamame beans and seaweed packets which were both very good. The actual shop had great groceries too, like fresh fruits and vegetables and interesting Japanese snacks. Would go again! :)

I purchased four donuts today, two basic and two matcha, around 5 pm on March 2nd, 2024. Upon receiving my order, I discovered that instead of receiving two of each flavor as requested, they provided only one basic donut in each box, totaling just two basic donuts. Despite paying 13 pounds for my order, I encountered this frustrating mistake upon arriving home, and I am disappointed that there is no available contact number to address this issue directly. Therefore, I am sharing my experience through this review.
