Jang Mo Jib Korean Restaurant

Great experience at Jang Mo Jib, one of my favourite restaurants here in Vancouver. Totally recommend it!

Avoid this restaurant unless you want to be scammed! Extremely unprofessional on top of being liars with zero integrity. They take advantage of people who seem to be “drunk” in order to gain profit by up-charging bills and serving fake alcohol! If confronted, they will make up NUMEROUS stories and NUMEROUS excuses to cover up their deceit. The non consistency between the numerous excuses made tells me everything I need to know and proves that they’re liars trying to cover up their scam. I will be reporting this to the appropriate authorities and contacting LCRB. My experience here has been shameful. Service was rude and slow as well, despite them being in the wrong. I will be taking measures to have their liquor license under review and revoked.

Dined in today around 11pm and was greeted negatively by a girl with glasses. We told her we were a table of 10 and she really yelled out “TEN?!?” And stormed off. The other co worker who is blonde handle us well and took us to our table as soon as it was ready. I grabbed the menu myself seeing the other servers were busy and the blonde server was good at communicating/apologizing about the slow service which was great! After our order was taken, the girl with glasses had the worst attitude and gave my table sassy side eyes which did anger my guests. The food did take a long time but the blonde server communicated about it earlier which was completely fine. Unfortunately, the server with glasses gave us extra dishes that belonged to another table. Our table told her that it was not ours but she just left it. It sucked to see the blonde server take responsibility despite our miscommunication but we made it clear that it was the server with glasses who made the mistake. Overall food is always great and kudos to the blonde server for providing good customer service despite being understaffed and busy. No comment on the other server…

Went there at around 3:05am this Saturday and had ordered 4 soups immediately, before we sat down on our chairs.. We had to wait 40 minutes. Yes. 4 0 for 4 soups. 1 of my friend went home, 2 went a sleep on a table during the wait. It all happened when there was no order to process before ours since it were all empty except for one table with two guys which had their foods already. They asked to pay for the food and service in advance before the wait started. Clever. And lastly, we had to finish this boiling soup within 15 mins since their closing time of 4 am. Nonsense.

Deserves 4-5 stars for sure.
