This food was so bomb!! And the people were so nice

They defrost all the meat and seafood they use directly on the floor in buckets. everything they don't serve gets frozen in gallon bags to serve you again weeks or months later, plus they don't mark any of the bags so you don't know when it's from. or how old the food actually is, it is very questionable. The owner doesn't even like being in Tucson and doesn't want to be in the restaurant as I overhead on a phone call that was on speaker phone saying she wants to live back east. I was only there once to work one day and it made me want to never return ever again. it is way overpriced for everything to be frozen, you can microwave your own similar food at home.

What a lovely Soul food spot! I've eaten numerous different menu items here and loved it every time. As an added bonus they don't cook with any pork! Very friendly staff. Looking forward to eating there again next time I'm in Tucson.

Shady business that prepares its food on the kitchen floor in buckets. They also freeze any food they do not sell that night, to be served again on a later date. Which is a major health code violation and also just really lazy. The owners constanly fight and bring their failing marriage problems into the business. Oh and they also refuse to pay their employees. I would steer clear if I was you, unless you want freezer burnt floor fish.

Food was amazing. They are generous with the servings. They had plenty of options for the entire family. We tried a few things off the menu. The jerk chicken, catfish, fried chicken, oxtail plates as well as the sides. The Jamaican cabbage was amazing, the Mac n cheese was delicious I was impressed by the festives so yummy. We will be back for more…

The food was A1 I got the catfish,collared greens,mac&cheese and kool-aid I was very impressed it's hard to find soul food in tucson this food made a brotha feel like he was down south. I'll definitely be back

Absolutely loved our meal!!! Only thing I'm sorry about is how long it took me to try them out!!! Will certainly be returning ❤
