Mediocre sushi. Zero atmosphere. Don’t waste your time
We walk in at 6pm to an empty restaurant. There's about 4 other diners. The hostess asks if we have a reservation, I say no. She then takes us to a table like a foot away from another couple. I ask if we could have this other table so there would be a table between us and the other diners. She says. Sure. But you didn't have a reservation, just letting you know. We walked out.
Ordered the Truffle Fries, Steak Bites, & Lobster Truffle Fried Rice. The food was very mediocre. It's a nice place to grab a bite before catching a show at the playhouse but would not return otherwise.
The menu is overpriced for the mediocre 1990s-era cuisine. The decor is cheap and tacky. The only saving grace of this restaurant is that it’s located on the campus of La Jolla playhouse, but a pre-theatre meal here dampens the overall experience significantly.
Busy Busy place is OK j liked!!
