Jalapeño's Taqueria

I’ve eaten lunch here a handful of times and usually have had a good experience until my family and I got food poisoning. We all ate the same tacos and drinks and all got sick. We were half way done with our food when we found several hairs in our tacos. I called to let them know that day and they offered to remake them but I was already grossed out and threw the rest of the food away. The next day all 3 of us had flu like symptoms. I called the restaurant and asked for my money back. They refused and asked if I was a doctor and how could they know if I was actually telling them the truth. I did offer to take them the bag I threw up in. Don’t eat here unless you want to get sick. We also paid $50 definitely not worth getting sick.

Probably one of the better taco shops in South Lake Tahoe

Best taco place in Tahoe HANDS DOWN. lived here for 2 years and have tried them all. They have anything and everything you could want from a Mexican restaurant. You will not find better flavor! The food is fresh, cooked to order fast, and delicious. And the salsa bar options are amazing. Recommend their Birria, chicken chipotle burrito, and beans & rice! Other favorites are their chorizo (it’s to die for) breakfast burrito or chorizo street tacos and steak torta!

This is a local favorite. Eat in or take out. Food is so good.

I’d give it a full 5 stars but I haven’t tried a lot of their menu. Prices are fair especially for the area and their tacos are superb
