Not a good place. Foods are expensive but not well prepared. Not worth it. They need a dramatic change if they want to survive.
A new restaurant in town, at where Kyodong Noodles used to be. Friendly staff and tasty soups, giving us a decent Korean comfort food option in South Bay. Even the side dishes (a few types of kimchi) were great. Hope they last long. :)
The banchan's and food we ordered was very good. The portions are sufficient for 2 people. At other Korean restaurants I have tried, they rush you to eat so they can have greater turnover for a table, especially at BBQ places where they dump the entire order of meat on the grill at one time. Although this is not a grill place, there service was very good and I didn't feel pressured to eat and leave as soon as possible.
Live halibut sashimi very good.
Jagalchi is a Korean comfort food restaurant. Although the menu is not as extensive as other Korean restaurants in the area, the food is decent. The owner is very friendly and provides excellent service. However, the prices are higher than other places in the area and the portion sizes are on the smaller side. The free appetizer is standard, but I wish there were more options. I'm deducting one star due to the pricing and portion ratio. Quick tips: Jagalchi is located right next to Grand Fish Tacos & Ceviche, and there are plenty of parking spots available in the same plaza."
The food tasted really good. As a Gukbap lover, this is now my go to restaurant. The side dishes were all really delicious and the pakimchi was so so good. Highly recommended.
