I love Celtic places. Had high hopes for this one. Atmosphere was nice. Live music was good. Service was good. Beer selection wasn't great. Wanted more Irish, Scottish brews. I was disappointed with the Shepherds Pie. Way too many mashed potatoes and far too little of the good stuff.
I've been here several times, and I try to like it, I really do, but it's really just average. I've had a lot of fun watch bands and knocking a few beers back late at night, but as a restaurant, it's "meh". A pub like this is normally my vibe, but Jack misses the mark. This last visit, my fish and chips ($22) was a small and overcooked portion. The nachos were requested without jalapeños (for the kids), but they came covered in jalapeños. Our kids' lemonades didn't arrive until we were almost ready to close out our check. The waters for the table never arrived. And we got hit with a 3% "kitchen appreciation charge". Very average pub fare. I'll be back, but it will just be for late night drinks and music.
