Good breakfast place!

Great food and service.

Was looking for someplace to eat breakfast that wasn't crazy crowded. Pretty tall order around Nashville on a Sunday. However, sometimes you can get lucky. Went to J. Christophers as there were parking spaces and no line. Well....now I know why. I ordered cornbeef hash with an english muffin and coffee. Scrambled eggs. She ordered something similar with scrambled eggs. Coffee was weak and wasn't very good. The hash I think was pork. The meat certainly looked like pork and it didn't taste like beef hash. The potatoes were ok. The eggs were ok. Wait person seemed to be confused as to who ordered what as we had to swap several items. I'll give them another try but lowering my expectations.

The waffles were EXCELLENT!!!! The skillet I tried was quite average. I'll give it a 4 for now and may change it in the future when I try more of the menu. I switched to 5 stars because I tried more of the menu, and they've improved flavor-wise. Even something simple as their potatoes taste great—way better than Pancake Pantry, in my opinion. Please don't wait in that LONG Pancake Pantry line because the food isn't worth it. Go two-three blocks up 21st and try this place. Trust me.

Food was good, service sucks. Won't go back ever again

Food was decent, but not served hot. Service was basically non-existent. Our server took our order, didn't bring out all the drinks. Then after bringing two of the three drinks we had to hunt our server down for the check. Definitely won't be coming back on our next visit to Nashville.
