Decent food. Good service
My family has been going to this restaurant for years. The food is consistently good! Our waitress, Priscilla, was very patient with our large group this morning. We had a lot of requests. She did a great job!!!
Stopped in for breakfast this morning. This is my first time here in a very long time. We were greeted immediately and seated promptly. Our server, Emma, was fantastic! She was friendly and attentive. Super job! The three of us had coffee. Two of us thought it tasted bad enough that we couldn't drink it. My wife noticed they offered a drink with espresso. She asked if they could make her an Americano, two shots of espresso and hot water. She was told that since it wasn't on the menu, they couldn't make it. I spent many years working in restaurants. I would never refuse to make something if I had the ability and time to do so. Times have changed, I suppose. I ordered the Bubba plate with grits. The biscuits here are fantastic. The sausage gravy was bland, almost flavorless. I had to add lots of salt and pepper to it. The grits were almost soup they were so thin. They had been sitting for a while as a skin had formed on them when served. Our server offered to replace them. I decided against that. My wife had the breakfast hash skillet with egg whites. She thoroughly enjoyed her breakfast. Our third had the South Beach and enjoyed it as well. The restaurant is clean, bright, and inviting. I would recommend this restaurant but skip the grits and sausage gravy.
Great food and great service.
Good situation made better by our server Allie!!
Passing through and stopped here for brunch. I got the oatmeal and husband got a club sandwich with black bean soup. Both meals were satisfying. Took a Waldorf salad to go, which I NEVER see on a menu. Oh my, it was so good. We’ll be back through and that Waldorf is all I’ll need. Thank you for a delicious experience.
Always enjoy this breakfast.
Very good food great service Very friendly atmosphere will be back...
Diner-style dishes served in a modest setting. We arrived for lunch around 12:30 on a Saturday. There were several tables with customers but it wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. I ordered J's Classic Club, which is a standard club sandwich with a fried egg added, and it was quite good. It came with lightly seasoned fries which were nice and crisp. My daughter liked her kid's waffle, and my son very much enjoyed his grilled cheese and fries. My wife ordered the Turkey Dijon BLT which she also liked. Most of the menu seems to be pretty standard diner fare, which is not a criticism at all — in fact, it's exactly what I was looking for when I decided to stop in and give this place a try. We ate lunch (aside from my daughter's waffle), but they also serve the full breakfast menu from opening until they close, which, by the way, is at 2 pm every day. I'd definitely like to come back for a low key breakfast experience. Kid-friendliness: They have a kid's menu and high chairs available
