Good place for a special date night. High end restaurant. We had artichoke appetizer, trout and salmon. Everything was amazing. Waiter was attentive and thoughtful. Atmosphere comfortable, quiet. Perfect!

Revisited this establishment. Our group of 4 was not disappointed. Our wait person was Vanessa. She was attentive, courteous, and professional. Our orders were confirmed and prepared as requested. My guests order the children's prime rib and me the steak brazzos. My assessment from August of this year is still the same. I've added some additional pictures and hope your experience is as good as ours. From August 2023 =============== You can not go wrong, stopping in at this local establishment to enjoy a well cooked steak, nice mahogany wood surrounding you, and excellent service. We stopped in today for lunch to celebrate someone's birthday. We were quickly seated in Geri's section. She greeted us, verified everyone had menus, and took our presented drink orders. After enough time had passed, she took our main course orders and kept our drinks topped off. Our food was delivered when it was ready, and he steaks were cooked to perfection. Some in our party had prime rib, while others had the filet medallions on a bed if mash potatoes covered with mushroom sauce (Steak Brazzos). We opted to celebrate by ordering the desert she recommended, called Powerful Stuff. OMG, you need to save some room to try this desert (it is seasonal, so beware it may not always be available) I highly recommend you try this place, and I hope your experience will be as good as mine. I ordered the Filet Medium. Came Medium rare. Mentioned this to the server, and nothing was done about it. We spent over $400. Prime Rib (kind of fatty, but ok), Cheeseburger, Ribeye (Husband said glaze on top was too sweet, order plain and dry next time.), New York Strip. Mashed potatoes were good. Queso was good but needed more chips. Chocolate cake and KeyLime pie were ok. Overall, good experience.

We’re pretty regular at J’s - we always order an Alex’s salad to start our meal and we are never disappointed by the food. Tonight however (12/27/23) was something special - our waitress was Imani and she was AMAZING!!!!!!!! She was so sweet and kind from the moment she came up to our table. Despite being regulars, there were some menu items we hadn’t tried and were unsure about and she took the time to explain them and even brought over a few samples. Our drinks were never empty, she paced our courses out perfectly, and she made just the right amount of conversation. I have her saved in notes app (I keep a list of the best waiters and waitresses in town) and we will definitely insist on having her serve us on our next visit. Imani, if you see this, THANK YOU!!!! Hadnt been here in awhile, and came for my birthday lunch. Bloody Mary was not good. Very watery.... ordered grilled chicken salad, but asked if chicken was warm, and was told no, its cold. So ordered French Dip. Au jus was warm but ok.

Yesterday was my birthday and my date and and I came here to celebrate 45th birthday. His first time eating there however not mine I've been here several times and I have ALWAYS LOVED IT. Our waiter was amazing! He serviced us and we were well pleased and it showed in the tip we tipped gave him. We both received carrot cakes (one for me because of my birthday and one for him because it was his first time there). The only thing was when we finally got our food my loaded baked potato was cold, I asked for them to warm it up in the microwave but my date was like no give her another freshly made loaded potato. But I'm not going to complain because everything else was AMAZING as always. Thank you ⚘
