Ivan Ramen

Exceptional ramen place. I got a table (at the bar) without reservations surprisingly around 6pm Sunday. Service is very friendly and quick. The menu is very well designed with details on the app. Must visit if you are around. Tried the chicken paitan and Tokyo shoyu ramen which was great!

Chicken Paitan Ramen muss man probieren. Habe solchen Geschmack selbst in Japan noch nicht erlebt. Auch die Buns sind super und geschmacklich etwas völlig neues

We had the wagyu pastrami buns and the chicken paitan ramen. The buns were rich, so tender and so full of flavour. We didn’t know what to expect for the ramen, and was blown away at how delicious it was. We were advised to taste the broth when it was served, and then mix in the yolk, and afterwards, depending on how you’d like it, you could squeeze some lime juice into it. We personally loved the idea of the lime juice because it cuts through the fatty flavour and created depth in the broth. The chicken skin was delicious and created a beautiful layer of texture throughout each bite. We can’t stop raving about this bowl of absolute deliciousness. The service was also great, we can’t complain. We look forward to returning on our next trip!

Best ramen I ever had.

Simple, not fussy, but very good ramen place super friendly staff and delicious food - the basics that so many places mess up! Is it the most “authentic ramen you’ll ever find that beats ramen you can get in Japan”? No. But it doesn’t need to be. It needs to fill you with joy and warm you up and leave you feeling really content. Like a happy Buddha.

We drove all the way from Toronto to have Ivan’s world class ramen again. The pastrami buns were out of this world, and on par with the undeniable Chicken Paitan which was out of this world. Anything with chicken broth reminds us of our bubby’s soups, and every bite here blew our minds. Ivan, if you’re reading this, thank you for making every trip we take to NY so delicious .
