The staff would not seat us until everyone in the party arrived even though we 5 out of the 6 of us had arrived and the person not there was parking the car. One member of the party is 6 months pregnant and had to tell them she needed to be seated as she could not stand at the bar (because they refused to seat us before even though she politely asked). Once seated the waiter was visibly annoyed and said he would only explain the menu once everyone was seated. The waiter was rude and would not even put a water glass in front of the person parkings seat stating it was due to “breakage.” What does that even mean and is it really worth stating that to customers for a glass of still water? They were not attentive and never checked in on the food. They rarely poured anyone water or wine throughout the meal. It was an extremely unpleasant experience and I do not recommend others to go and feel the level of discomfort the staff causes.
Always the best time. We save up all year to get their tasting menu. It's divine. We leave stuffed and happy everytime!
Splurge on the tasting menu of crudo & pasta as well as the drink pairing. You won’t regret it!
Food was excellent. Too bad for the talented chefs and kitchen that the front Staff was too cool and busy and bothered to actually serve a meal. It was like we were doing them a favor and asking permission to be there.
For a restaurant that is as nice and costs as much as this one, Itria should simply not have tables in the front of the restaurant (unless maybe for walk-ins). I paid and tipped in advance for a special event evening for myself and my girlfriend. We were seated between the front door (next to the Bart station in the Mission), the kitchen door, and the register. It was an extremely busy area, and the kitchen's bright lights every time the door opened ruined any atmosphere not diminished by the other disturbances. Jarring for a date night. When I asked to move to another better open spot, I was told it was for a VIP guest. Understandable for the restaurant's priorities, but this didn't do anything to ease my dissatisfaction. Would not recommend for a date night as there are three tables by the front--your chances aren't low. Food was very good and the service was fine, though I was admittedly biased by my displeasure with the seating.
We had the crudo, grilled octopus starter, and 2 pastas! Everything was delicious and fresh.
Top notch food and service. Sizable portions and delicious pasta. Especially the one with mushrooms. Slightly disappointing wine list especially by the glass.
