It was my first time going to an Islands restaurant. The food was pretty good and the waitress was great. Definitely wouldn't mind going again.
It was a bit of a wait about 20 - 30 mins which is totally normal for a Saturday I feel, however when we were seated the server was amazing and was very knowledgeable about the dishes, Food was really good, and it was how we ordered them. Really good spot!
Asked for a medium well burger - ended up with a medium burger (yes it says this on their menus but I wanted no pink and got really pink, almost red). My husband's onion rings looked like they were fried in old oil. My fries seemed like they were too. We came in towards the end of the night but with plenty of time to spare and there were still several tables sitting inside, mid meal or waiting on their meal. So not sure why we'd end up with food like that.
18 dollars cheese burgers... are they good? They're very average was there Saint Patrick's Day. Nothing festive about this place. They had ranch dressing that was Liquid like. I asked for real ranch dressing. They said no that's all they have. I'd rather much rather go to a Shake Shack or even in and out and not have to tip and just deal with good service and good food. If you like mediocre food and service this place is for you
I was a little disappointed with my visit AGAIN. Normally I don’t write bad reviews or even bring up when I don’t have the best experience but I thought maybe I should say something. Took my nephew out for his birthday and of course we all wanted Islands. We’re big fans of the tiki tenders but this time the quality of the chicken was terrible. We had 3 orders of tenders and in each order 2/5 tenders were trash. The chicken itself was like hard almost a rubber type taste and when we chewed they felt like we couldn’t chew them so we ended up spitting them out. We didn’t complain or say anything to our waitress because I didn’t want to seem picky since we sent back a kids Mac and cheese because we asked for a grilled cheese which also wasn’t grilled. The quality of our grilled cheese also was disappointing. Overall I spent $70’and still tipped which was kind of upsetting since we decided to go out for a child’s birthday. We would of been better off spending the same amount and receiving better quality at chick fil a. Not sure there’s anything the manger can do for me but if so that would be greatly appreciated. It took me a few days to write something because I really didn’t want to but my visit and my wasted money didn’t sit well with me especially after how this is the second time this location has let me down. Not sure if the quality of the chicken has changed or if it wasn’t cooked all the way through but yeah something was right.
Delicious food! Thank you!
