Island Oyster

Was hesitant to go here because of the reviews but took a chance and loved it. Went on a foggy Friday night in October for a date night and enjoyed the food, drinks, and super-friendly service. Can’t beat the views either.

Great view of Manhattan. Poor to non-existent service. Ordering food, they asked me to leave a tip BEFORE they told me it's self service. Then the bar charges me $69 for a beer, a margarita and 2 glasses of water. you can do better. go eat at the pizza shop on the island instead--it's awesome.

One of the servers in this place is Karen. I guess it is a boss of servers. So, food and other servers are good but one Karen might ruin your governer’s island atmosphere

Overpriced bad food and drinks

Don’t leave your card. They ask for your physical card when you check in, and they lose it. They recommended canceling the card. They even made me pay with another form of payment or asked for a tip. Don’t go there. It’s full of thieves.

Over priced food and some of the rudest staff. QR code menus with no physical menus and Governors Island notoriously has bad service so we had the hardest time even looking what was available to order, again bartender was extremely rude. Eat anywhere else on this island.

been there many times, but this is by far the worst service we ever had. We had to get their attention to make an order.

Great place for a farewell lunch for our summer associates! Kid-friendliness: Seems very kid friendly!
