I can't bring myself to give any business a 1 star. I came here with a friend today for lunch. It was about noon. The restaurant was half full but we were told they were filled with reservations so bar seating only. The bar was empty. We sat and ordered. Things were a little slow but we eventually get our coffee. We order. 1:30pm, we still don't have our food. We ordered eggs and toast. Finally the food comes out, our food is cold and bread is soggy, wasn't good. No apologies were given. Just oh well. Apparently the chef was late coming in. Setting expectations would have helped up front. I'm disappointed in our experience but felt that communication would have gone a long way. Probably will not be back for another shot.
My husband and I ate here on Saturday evening around 5:30. We were greeted promptly and seated. We actually were the only diners in the restaurant. I ordered the gluten free fish and chips( I have a gluten intolerance) and my husband ordered the braised lamb shoulder. Things are great so far, until I asked about how my fries and the fish are prepared. Our waitress did not know, she offered to ask the chef in the back. She returned to tell me that the fish is battered in rice flour, and the fries are fine as well. On the menu the fries are labeled gluten free. She placed our order and when our meal arrived, I asked again in a different way. Are you sure the fries are not fried in the same oil as your other floured foods. She went and asked again but this time she said the the fries are cooked in the same oil. She was very polite and asked me if I wanted rice or a salad. Btw we were still the only diners after sitting here for one hour. I want to say to the manager and owner, please change your menu or have a separate fryer for your gluten free foods. My stomach started to hurt on the way home which is what typically happens when I've eaten something that I shouldn't have that has some cross contamination.
Best dining experience in a while. After having a bunch of bad experiences in ATL restaurants due to poor service, our server, Kelly, at Isla & Co was fantastic. Fast and professional and friendly. She knew the menu and was personable and attentive. Drinks came quickly, water was never not full, she really made the entire experience. The food itself was also amazing. The music playlist was on point. 10/10 recommend.
What a gem of a place. So cute with genuine service. The food and drinks are delicious. It's my new go-to spot. Been 5 times and time was exceptional. Everyone is friendly and it has that small family feel. The Brussels sprouts and the Irish-Ish coffee are my favorite but the whole menu is delish. So happy to have them in the neighborhood.
This is hands down the best food I have eaten since coming to Atlanta a month ago. Kangaroo was so tender it cut with a fork. Pork rolls were perfectly crispy! Oh, and the fries… unbelievable
Came here for our staff lunch. Nice and cute spot. The food and drinks were delicious. Will be coming back!
10/10 recommend this hidden gem. I'm not a breakfast food person but a friend wanted to grab brunch so I thought we'd try this spot out and I must say I was deeply impressed. We all got the Brekkie sandwich and it was a knockout. I ate every bite and the fries were fantastic with the black truffle aioli. Having run a restaurant for several years I can be pretty hard to impress but everything is so well done from the quirky menu comics to the playlist it just had a great vibe. Cherry on top was the service - we were taken care of by Philip and you can tell he really cares about the place and people having a good experience. So happy this place is in Buckhead so I can become a lunchtime regular!
