Isalita Cantina Mexicana

We had to wait for 15mins after sitting on the table the food portions are so small, and food wasn’t great!

I was so disappointed. My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for a day date and we were so disappointed. I ordered the chicken tacos and he ordered the steak. Now, the tacos were pretty good - had good flavor, but no rice or beans came with them and they were three small tacos that we ate in literally 6 bites. Not even salsa or chips were included. The atmosphere was good and our waitress was very friendly, but the food was so overpriced. We paid about $70 for 6 small tacos. I had a prickly pear and it was by far the worse prickly pear I’ve ever had. Today we visited Salsarias in Tecumseh, MI. May I recommend this place. We’ve been there before and has never disappointed. Their prickly pear is amazingly good and their roasted pepper salsa is good. The prices are good too. Wish our experience would’ve been better at Isalita. Unfortunately, not. I’m sorry. Parking: Parking was easy.

We had an amazing experience here last night. Service was great and super friendly! The food we ordered was all flavorful and unique. We got chips with queso and roja salsa to start. The nachos with chicken added were such a generous portion, loaded with toppings! The steak fajitas were phenomenal. Great margs too. Can’t wait to go back soon!

What a wonderful gem of a restaurant!! We stopped on a whim and what a fabulous choice! Excellent service great atmosphere and some of the most delicious Mexican food I’ve ever had We’ll definitely be back soon Dietary restrictions: Lots of delicious gluten free options
