Is Original Thai Cuisine

Absolutely DELICIOUS!! The food tastes clean and exceptionally well prepared. We got delivery (extremely fast through Toast), so I can’t comment on the atmosphere, but we were really impressed by the food. We eat at a lot of Thai restaurants, and found this to be among the best. We enjoyed the pork pad Thai (love that pork is an option!), chicken green curry (tasted so clean and light!), and the most outstanding crab ragoons. We have had better Thai tea, but this was still decent. We will definitely be ordering again! Vegetarian options: Can get tofu on almost anything.

Is Original has been a cornerstone of my diet for over a year now. Their food consists of high quality ingredients, excellent sauces and seasonings, and hefty portions. This friendly and accommodating staff have been my go-to spot for takeout/delivery in Brookline form many moons. I do not know how they could be closing, but I wish the exceptional workers much good luck and ready fortune in the new year. Thank you for so many delicious, well-priced meals!!!

Great food for reasonable price Ok atmosphere Very quick service

I come here a frequently when I don’t have the energy to cook after a long day. Their Pad Thai basil (I get extra spicy) really hits the spot. Their curries are nourishing as well, and everything comes out fast and the people here are so nice and helpful. So grateful to have a comforting Thai place in the neighborhood, I will of course be back. So sad to learn their last day of operations will be on December 15th. They will be missed!! ❤️

I love the food here. Price is great . Service is great. It’s always clean. Parking is pretty good .

Crispy pork with Chinese broccoli (kana moo krop ) phenomenal

I ordered delivery and it came so fast! The portions are great and the price is so affordable! The pineapple fried rice is a masterpiece. SO GOOD. Salty, savory, crunchy, perfectly cooked rice with fresh warm chucks of pineapple. Must try this unique dish. Can’t wait to try the mango fried rice. The Pad Thai is also phenomenal. It’s not too greasy or overly flavored. I will be ordering again.

I had a disappointing experience at this Thai food restaurant. The food is inconsistent; it can be better or worse depending on the day. The service is abysmal - one staff member (a young lady) took away our large to-go bag from underneath the table, seemingly for reuse. When I requested it back, she insinuated that since we had eaten some of the food, we no longer needed a big paper bag and handed us a small plastic one. After insisting on the paper bag, she gave us a different small brown bag and warned that she could only provide one. We spent over $60 and didn't expect this level of rudeness and cheapness from the staff.

SORRY FOR THE PARTIALLY EATEN PHOTOS :( we ordered: — crispy chive cake — dinner red curry w veggies — dinner honey sesame chicken, sub mock chicken (soy nuggets) — thai iced tea we spent: $60 (including tip) i wish i had gotten pics before we started eating!! it was really delicious. the crispy chive cakes were fabulous and came with a dipping sauce that may have had tamarind in it? we weren’t sure. very delicious and fluffy texture. the thai iced tea isnt super saccharine, and the flavor is strong enough. pretty sure they use heavy cream. red curry was flavorful and had good veggie textures (crisp) as well as some fresh herbs on top. not extremely spicy even though it says spice level 2 on the menu. honey sesame mock chicken (soy nugget) was very tasty, some of the better vegetarian “chickn” i’ve had at a restaurant before! im not sure if it was vegan. it all came with 2 tiny (1 oz) cups of chili paste. we got no napkins or utensils in the bag, but we ate at home so nbd. my only complaint is that the sides of rice (which came included with each dinner entree) were not very fluffy and slightly dry. Vegetarian options: good options but vegetarian / vegan dishes not clearly labeled (with exception of vegan gyoza) Dietary restrictions: good vegetarian / vegan options — tofu / veggie / mock chicken (soy nuggets) / vegan gyoza

Maybe it depends on what you order, but I had the red curry with shrimp and it wasn’t very good. The shrimp tasted fine. The curry was watery and had a funny taste. I paid for the extra shrimp and I’m glad I did because, otherwise, the whole dish came with 5 shrimp and a handful of vegetables in a lot of watery broth that wasn’t great
