Irving Plaza

Amazing place.

Just left a benefit show at Irving Pl. after the city denied license for benefit to be in Tompkins square park, Irving Plaza saved the day. Good venue great visibility but the true stars are the security staff. Hardcore shows can be rough but these guys were great. A BIG SHOUTOUT to Alex and Alexis, they looked after the boisterous crowd like guardian angels! Best attitudes ever! Thank you gentleman! Whatever you’re paid you sh get double!! ❤️

Great venue

This was the most unorganized venue I have ever been to. I have worked 400 venues in my life time and the people were very cooperative with me and the touring team. When it comes to communication, there was none. The security team at Irving Plaza forcing the artist I’m on the tour with to not come in. Second, a list was generated without our consent with people we didn’t even know. Third, credentials were not provided for me at the venue (Even though I’m with the artist) so it made it very difficult to be with the artist. Speaking with the Mgr. Ms. Rivera was very delightful. She understand the situation and she allowed me to undergo with handling the artist affairs. But every 5 seconds, I’m being harassed by security due to credentials (even though I’m leaving). This is the worst venue I’ve ever been to. This venue needs to be revamped, and develope great communication with the tour mgr, artist production mgr, and their team. And the security needs to also understand their “CHAIN OF COMMAND.” This is how everyone will get loss in communication.

Went to a show last night and 100% give the security team a raise! I ended up passing out from what I can only assume was being overheated, I have never passed out before so it was wild for me, but the security team was on it and so kind! They let me cool down in the stairwell with water and the door open so I could still hear the concert then took me to a better spot under a vent to enjoy the rest of the show. True gems!
