Iro Sushi - Stuff x Roll (Irvine)

Rolls are enormous and full of bad ingredients. I ordered a tuna roll expecting a standard tuna roll and got a monstrosity with iceberg lettuce and canned tuna in it wrapped in bad rice. Not worth your time or money, go somewhere else.

I expected something better, based on the reviews. The California rolls are extremely simple, stuffed with a bunch of crabmeat & just a tiny piece of avocado and (maybe?) cucumber. And the fish? Could they have sliced it ANY thinner?

It is the place for you if a) you want to try something unique and don't care about how the quality can be improved, or b) you're not here for sushi, and instead cakes, cookies, etc. I bet you can tell how little attention they can pay on the sushi from the chaotic structure of their menu, but I got myself some nigiri just to be sure. The sushi rice is terrible--it's either not fresh or pressed too hard, or more likely both, so that it becomes way too dense and hard than it should be. The tuna smells kinda weird but tbh some people might be ok with that. When you have time, try to find any picture of nigiris on their wall. Spoiler--there's none.

This was okay but pretty standard fusion sushi. Rolls were a bit too stuffed and flavor of the dish diluted. Rice was a little mushy.

Loved it's hawaiian rolls. Take away and delivery only.

It was such a wonderful place to grab lunch at from the food, quick service, and overall the place looks very cute! I would totally recommend you go there with if you have the chance
