Indian Tanpura

It was good.. the only the waiter is flirtatious.. and purposely put the menu in my breast while my husband was there and I saw the waiter getting closed touching his body against a woman. This man has the wrong impression that white woman in usa are easy. I hope he is able he sees the message cause he is dirty.. he is an indian.. he violates women' s space.

Decent food and service

Delicious food with really attentive service - a lovely evening. We particularly loved the chicken tikka masala with the garlic naan.

Tonight’s service by the amazing Khan made for an incredible dining experience! My friend and I had a lovely time sampling appetizers, eating our lamb entrees, and receiving fantastic service. Albeit a hole-in-the-wall, you should not overlook this great restaurant. The food was incredible and now Indian Tanpura certainly has new fans!

We got delivery from Indian Tanpura and were extremely happy with the quality, quantity, and price! We all really liked the shrimp saag, chicken tikka masala, and onion kulcha. Will definitely order again!

For my first time having Indian food that wasn't delivery, this is easily an ideal way to go for it. Besides a fair price, you can tell that everything that you order is made fresh, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're right at a family dinner. Make sure to keep this spot a go-to next time you hang out in the UWS.
