Indian Clay Pot

The best dish we had was the lamb roganjosh. It was flavorful and tasty. Unfortunately, the rest of the items we got were not to our liking. The palak paneer had a strange fishy quality that we were not fans of. And the gobi Manchurian tasted more like Chinese takeout than the typical gobi we are used to (although it was nicely crispy). The naan was fine, but very thick. Nothing was poorly made or bad necessarily, it just was not as good as many of the other Indian restaurants we frequent.

Been ordering here for years, always great food and good prices. Recent expansion of the storefront hasn't slowed down service!

What an awesome place. Don't be mistaken by the look of the outside right now. It's definitely open but expanding. Entrance is at the corner of Ravenswood and Irving. The food is so delicious and they have some really unique options.

Indian here - this is good Indian food in Chicago. You get what you expect. Decent food, excellent service. Price is okay for the US - atrocious compared to India. Good choice if you miss home or want to try Indian food for the first time. North Indian selection only, but staff told me that the chef is South Indian (?). Great overall.

Food might be good but delivery driver almost hit me and my dog as he backed down a one-way street going the wrong way in a residential neighborhood. It’s dark. It’s raining. He didn’t slow at the he intersection. His excuse was he had to be on another street; he could have gone around the block and been at the same place 3 minutes later. Could have easily killed someone. I like Indian food but I’ll pass on this restaurant that doesn’t value its community.

We ordered the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. The garlic naan was honestly not great, it was pretty tough and didn’t have any of those characteristic bubbles and could not be pulled apart easily. The butter chicken and CTM were good, but I have had better. The chicken was a little tough in both and unseasoned. It was also very expensive
