Food was authentic and adding this place to the top of the list for desi food. Beef kababs and Bundoo and reg pirata were especially delicious. Will be returning soon.
Food was incredible! Easily the best pakistani and indian food in the greater indianapolis area. We went during the grand opening and it was fairly busy however we were still promptly seated and treated well. I look forward to coming here for whenever I'm craving desi food! Also it's worth noting that the naan made here is straight from a tandoor! I would go as far to say that the quality of food here far surpases what I've had on devon ave in Chicago as well as the restaurants I have ate at when I lived in California.
If you’re looking for the best, most flavorful Pakistani/Indian food in the area, look no further! This gem is a must-try! We went for the grand opening and were able to try a variety of food. The nihari and the BBQ items were absolutely delicious. The naan was homemade and fresh. Very cute decor and vibe and really clean, with great service. Be sure to check it out!
New management has done an amazing job improving quality of food and ambiance. Neat and clean with courteous service. Loved Chicken biryani and Nihari with freshly baked butter naans. Highly recommended.
New ownership as of 2024, food is good, seems to be better organized than India Cafe, also with a cleaner decore.
I thought Chicago was the best until I came here and I loved kolachi grills rice more. They have the best chicken biryani ever. Parking: I love the parking
Dec 12, 2023. Disappointing, I won’t ever waste my money there again. The Dal Curry was a bowl of weak red-colored water, with undercooked lentils in a clump at the bottom of the bowl. The garlic naan served at the table was as hard as a brick, and not the slightest bit warm. Sad, because I live right down the street from this place, and it used to be really good before ownership changed.
The food was fine if unremarkable, but what sets this spot apart (in a negative light) is the abysmal service. I’ve twice eaten here, once dine-in and once carryout, and I’ve yet to have a pleasant experience. The staff is inconsiderate and impolite in person, and the carryout “service” is non-existent. Add 30+ minutes to your estimated carryout time, with no explanation or consideration— definitely don’t pay online either, because that puts you last in order apparently. Inside, the TVs are always off, corners are dimly lit, and tables are poorly cleaned. It’s easy to understand why a competitor felt confident enough to open literally next door, they could treat you with the bare minimum of mutual respect and be leaps and bounds ahead of this spot.
