Great little dive bar and southern food. I really enjoyed this place. It wasn't too busy and lots of fun. If you go on Wednesday they have Bingo as well
Ina Mae is a quirky, New Orleans inspired bar/restaurant that serves great, authentic Cajun fare. Woild love to go back and eat in the restaurant (ordered to go) and was sad they no longer had boudin balls. The gumbo was like "a party in my mouth" delicious! I got the Gumbo w/potato salad on the side, red beans n rice, (both good size portions) and a NOLa themed drink while waiting. All I can say is wish I had more time here to go back, eat in house and when live entertainment is happening. If you love the cuisine of Louisiana, you will not be disappointed. "Laissez les bon temps rouler..."
I was really excited to visit this restaurant with my family but left quite disappointed. Let me start by saying that it is such a cute place. It's so beautifully decorated and very cozy. We went for Sunday brunch, and they had a live band playing, which was absolutely wonderful. The food, on the other hand, was a different story. I had the chicken and pancakes. The pancakes were burnt at the bottom, and the chicken tasted like it was fried in old grease. It just wasn't a pleasant taste. I also had a Pina Colada that was served in a short glass, which I've never experienced before, and it wasn't too great either. My family ordered quite a few items, and everything was just blah. It was like everything needed a bit more seasoning. The service is in need of improvement as well. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed because the atmosphere is so enjoyable but we came to eat!
What a cool spot. Had live music playing, it was really good! My BF and I ordered the big fried chicken platter to share... DELICIOUS It was fried perfectly and still juicy inside. Loved the hot honey on top. It came w/ biscuits & 2 sides in which we ordered Mac n cheese & red beans n rice. I'm always looking for a good Mac n cheese, FOUND IT at INA MAE'S! We will def be back.
Eh. It was ok. Inexpensive. Shrimp in po boy was overcooked, the mac n cheese was meh, deserts were great, service was just ok. And they were out of several things on the menu. Nothing at all wrong with this place and it might be a great place to get f’d up, but not so great to get a great meal. Good meal, yes. Great meal? Not so much. Parking: Plan to circle for a long time at busy days/times.
