In Ramen

I'm so disappointed because I recently wrote a review raving about this place a couple of months ago and now I'm having to write a completely opposite review. I had been begging my friends to come with me here and make it our lunch spot after morning meetings on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. A couple of them decided to come with me before we brought the entire group the following week. We walk into the restaurant and immediately after we go up to the server to be seated before he even says hello he says "Just to let you know if you're sitting outside you are going to have to pay for your food as soon as you put the order in because we have had issues with dining and dashing". No "Hi, how are you guys." no "Let me get you seated" just straight to the point. Thats okay though because I too would be frustrated if I was providing a service and getting dined and dashed on. We say okay, that's not a problem. We offer him a card right then and there (before were even sat at a table) and he says wait until we order first. We go sit and the server has a demeanor where he just does not want to be there. I've also been a server so I understand rough days and immediately felt for him. However it did start to trickle into our overall experience. We ordered our food all at the same time and the waiter drops the check off immediately. My friend ordered no mushrooms in her ramen and I ordered no corn in my dish. My other friends food all comes at the same time (the dish comes with the mushrooms that she said no to. However no one came back to check on the food so she just ate it). Im the only one waiting for my food. I wait 5 minutes because I know sometimes a dish can take a little longer. At the 10 minute mark of everyone else having their dish and eating and mine still not here I have to go inside and ask because no one has stopped to the table to check on things or give an update on my food. Before I can even finish asking about my dish, they say "its coming". Another 3-4 minutes and my food comes out. My friends are about done with their food and I look down and see corn in my dish. The one thing I asked to not be in it. The lack of attention to detail is not something I experienced when I came months ago and had that amazing experience. We decided bringing our big group here would probably not be the smartest if this is how service is going to to. The last straw was when we saw the table next to us finishing up eating and their server dropping off the check to them for them to pay. The same check that we were served with immediately after placing our food orders because of 'dining and dashing'. That felt like a slap in the face because that meant that this was not something said to all guest and we were treated a little differently. In the end we still tipped 20% percent because we've all worked in the service industry at one point or another. But we definitely will not be coming back. It may be good if you are dining here on your own or with one other person. If you have a large group consider eating somewhere else.

Love love love! Great and speedy services everytime we visit. The food is mouth watering, I really can't get enough. The parmesan gyoza are a great starter. The spicy chicken bimbimbap never let's me down. I wish they were closer so I could order food more often.

The best Duck Bao and the beef short rib ramen. Many great things on the menu. Try everything!!!!
