As expected the food was delicious. They have a very unique take on a Michelada drink that is not only incredibly tasty, but also very unique from a sensory perspective (have to try it). Everything we ordered was beautiful in presentation, delicious and did a great job of helping us to be present and in the moment which I believe is the point of going to a high-end restaurant and spending time with friends.

Our dinner experience at ILIS was truly exceptional. It’s almost hard to describe because what they’re doing is so creative, so unique, and so damn good that there aren’t many other restaurants in NYC that are on this level. The closest comparison I can think of is probably Blue Hill Stone Barns, but ILIS has a distinct Brooklyn ambiance that really enhances the experience (such as a banger playlist). We did the tasting menu, which I’d 100% recommend. It’s fish, veggie and game heavy (read the restaurant description), and we loved it. We actually signed up for the a la cart (which they call the market menu), but they offered both when we sat down. The nonalcoholic bar menu was also on another level, which as a non drinker I really enjoyed. 10/10 would recommend if you like Michelin quality food, but want something more unique!

Breathtaking space… phenomenal service… gorgeous food presentation… but somewhere along the way they forgot that food should actually taste good.

Exceptional and deserving of 2 Michelin Stars. Nobody’s doing anything like this in NYC and they’ve just taken it to another level. Very well done and well priced.

Surprisingly terrible value that is more hype than substance. Lackluster and overpriced food, underwhelming wine pairing ($200 for 6 half pours of wines that retail for $40 on average per bottle), and uneven pacing. Non-alcoholic pairing is the saving grace.

I am giving 5 stars because the current rating is 4.3 and they deserve better especially if we are going for Michelin stars. Was it 100% perfect, no. Was it absolutely incredible? Yes. Gorgeous restaurant, inventive food, colorful staff, beautiful people watching and organized chaos. We went last Saturday and cannot stop talking about it. We did the field menu, a 3 hour experience with one of the best wine pairings I ever had. I would say top 2 after Stone Barn in terms of wine pairing. Their staff are knowledgeable and it is clear they were recruiting across the country. Next time we plan to just come and try more cocktails and eat a la cart.

Had the field menu, truly a great experience with warm hospitality. The chef made multiple appearances at the table and genuinely cared about our experience. Staff was great and made sure we had an incredible time.
