iLava Hawaiian Barbecue

Delicious food. Scary location.

I am a trucker, tried this place on a reco from a guy at Home Depot while making a delivery. Place has very similar menu to "Hawaiian Bros," if you've ever heard of them, but I digress... Ordered via Uber Eats, food arrived swiftly and HOT. Portions were plentiful and DELICIOUS! Got the Hawaiian BBQ as well as Lau Lau and Kahlua Pork for later. Would HIGHLY recommend, will be back if I'm in the Bay Area again.

This is a little gem tucked away on high Street. The musubi is delicious! And the Moco Loco is HUGE! I've been twice and they are always so fast. The portions are great and their Katsu sauce is a dream! Definitely worth checking out. Wheelchair accessibility: Big open space which is easy to maneuver in. Tables are low enough to get to, but the counter is a little too high.

The lady at the counter pretending she doesn't speak English missed me, because I asked for extra salad. Just mean! Bad energy

The girl at the front had an attitude, this garlic shrimp is too salty, the macaroni salad has no taste whatsoever AND there was a gray hair in my food.... absolutely disgusting I'll never spend my money here again...

Greeted with a smile and excellent customer. The food is really good and the Teriyaki sauce is yummy ❤️ . Nice portion sizes and no problem with substitutions...the barbeque beef is the best...but if you prefer chicken you will not be disappointed. And the price of the food is still reasonable...and it's clean in the restaurant...
