The heart beat of Mt. Lebanon. One of the most consistent restaurants you’ll ever visit. Wine bar is the absolute best.
Overall great experience! A lot of other people must have felt the same! The place was packed! Great Gnocchi, pasta, lasagna, calzones, and of course pizza! Highly recommend!
My mom made reservations for my sisters and her boyfriend’s birthdays with both of our families for 14 people. She made the reservation weeks ago. 20 minutes before our reservation (530 on a Friday) they call to say we can no longer sit together and they placed us at a 4 top and crammed 10 people into what should’ve been a 6-8 person table. The point of the dinner was for the two families to sit together, get to know each other and enjoy the birthdays. They had previously told her we could all sit at the same table. I believe they overbooked and last minute decided it was okay to pretty much ruin the dinner. There were tables next to us that were open and could’ve been pushed together to seat us comfortably but we were told ‘the tables don’t match up’. I worked in food for a decade, what a lame excuse to be greedy and cram us in a corner to make sure you sat more people. The foods gone so down hill but it doesn’t stop them from hiking up the prices. I’ve been going there since I was a kid and I do not know what happened to this place. Greediness from ownership apparently because they cut portions, raised prices and they knew we’d never get a reservation for 14 on a Friday night with 20 minutes notice so they knew even if they messed up our plans we would still have to dine there if we wanted a meal. They gave us a measly 2 free apps and the manager came over but didn’t apologize or own up to the mistakes. Edit: just spoke to the person who paid and they didn’t even take the apps off LOL terrible management.
Great place for a night out with friends or a date. Great selection of wine and food is great
Delicious! The closest thing to Nana's cooking!
Food was very good but, 2 of the people at our table’s food arrived cold:/ I ordered the legendary margarita pizza which was incredibly delicious & very filling. It’s expensive at $22 but worth it. I also ordered the Misticanza salad which was huge & so fresh with their own vingerette dressing. Others at the table got rigatoni, chicken parm & lasagna. 2 of us loved it, the other 2 said it was just ok. I personally love their sauce so you can’t go wrong with any of the pasta dishes. It’s cooked al dente & it’s very filling. The service was excellent and our waitress went above & beyond but all in all, it was bad dining experience for a special night out. The restaurant is extremely small & crowded and the tables are also small (given the amount of food we ordered) and right next to each other- so close that every time a waiter walked passed me, they tripped over the leg of my chair! But the worst part is, it’s incredibly loud in there. The acoustics in the room are terrible! It was nearly impossible to carry on a conversation across the table as no one could hear one another- after a while I quit talking as I was so tired of repeating myself:/ I’m not sure if I’ll go back any time soon but it’s definitely not an intimate dining experience, it’s a loud, crowded tiny space with really good food- I just like to be able to carry on a conversation while dining out, and not hear the tables next to me and their conversation:/
I went with two friends, and had an appetizer, pizza, and dessert. All of them were the best I had ever had. My new favorite restaurant. Parking: The garage is quite close. We paid $2.50. On Saturday it’s $1, free on Sunday. Coming out, just turn right twice and you’re back on Washington Road at Cedar at a light.
