Not a particularly gastronomic area of LA, but the food, service, and atmosphere made it a worthwhile detour. They also validate parking for the garage next door, which was a plus. Parking: They now validate at the parking garage next door. Plenty of parking at dinner.
Baren K did an amazing job serving my table of 9! I am so glad I was able enjoy my birthday here. Thank you to all staff much appreciated. Definitely will be coming back.
Always a great experience.
Every single time I’ve come here with friends of family I’m amazed at how delicious the food is. Every plate in the menu is unique and amazing. The ambience is also perfect for dates, birthdays, work dinner, etc. It’s one of my favorite Italian places in LA. Parking: Parking garage fee is validated by the restaurant so it’s free
I passed by this restaurant for years. We thought it was an expensive high end restaurant as we always saw exotic cars at the valet. But then we tried it. The price on their food and drinks was on par with other new restaurant $$-$$$. And i love the outdoor patio seating next to the manmade waterfall and stream (off for water conservation.) Its a large courtyard within the old Executive Tower. Il Moro is very generous with the outdoor patio heaters. This is a local favorite for the older generation. Maybe its because I always have a 6pm dinner reservation. As we leave, we see younger couples and groups. They have a private room that can fit a party of 10-12. It's really nice: All glass overlooking the main dining room and courtyard. Great classy private room. The calamari is my favorite. And I always get the lamb chops when available. That reduction sauce is amazing. However, as with the current trend, the price went up and the portions are smaller. All the other dishes were really good. Not super amazing and fabulous, but consistent and tasty for the price range. Good service too. Update: 2/16/2024. Tonight I order the seafood linguine. Wow, it was packed with seafood. The fresh grilled fish filets were excellent. Thr clams and mussels were plentiful and the linguine was cooked perfectly (al dante.) The seafood broth was a little too salty to drink from but it flavored the linguine and seafood perfectly. I would order again. Also, tonight, the calamari was "too oily." Its usually delicately battered and comes out hot and crispy. But tonight, it was just too oily for us to finish. When the waiter, "Baron" asked if it was satisfactory, i had to tell him the truth. He later comped our tiramisu dessert. That is a good example of good service. We will come back again Parking: There was a homeless encampment a block away. It seems the city finally relocated them. That's why I come for early dinners: parking up front, brighter, and felt safer. Let's all hope these less fortunate individuals find housing elsewhere and don't return (1-1.5 blocks south of the restaurant.)
Fantastic. Had the sole and it was so good I almost licked the plate. Ellio was wonderful and so was Dimitri and all the staff. I live in San Diego but will come back when in LA. Come try them you’ll be glad you did. Lovely people and great food
I love Il Moro. I've been eating there for almost 20 years and have always been delighted with the meals. Their salads and fresh pastas are excellent. I've had a number of dishes: the safron ravioli is an absolute must if they offer it. The pumkin cheescake is superb. Their Tagliatelle bolognese is just wonderful. I've had all of their apetizers and fish dishes and they have yet to disapoint.
I have been frequenting this restaurant for the past 12 or so years. For me, it’s home away from home. First of all, the food is amazing, Simply amazing. The drinks are very well done. The folks who own this restaurant are great humans - total class act. The service is great. The ambiance is very nice and welcoming. This place is a gem. I love it. Parking: They validate. Very convenient.
Excellent service and delicious food
