Ike's Love & Sandwiches

Ikes sandwiches were delivered to a group at Point Loma Presbyterian. Best sandwich I’ve had in San Diego in 40 years! Made perfectly with fresh ingredients and best of all the bun/ bread was delicious. Not gummy or hard, just perfect! My new go to spot for delivery as well!

Great customer service and food. Thank you for your great customer service maybe the Asian soup store across the patio can take some customer service tips.

The large woman at the counter that took my order was so incredibly unhappy start to finish. And there was just black dirt caked packed!! Under her fingernails I was like “oh WOAH” aside from her rude so rude attitude it was just gross. Seriously concerned about the health issue of this place. Yuck… come on let’s do better.

I ordered gluten bread for my sandwich due to my celiac disease. After ordering the meatball sandwich, I double checked, and they told me the contents have breadcrumbs. So I asked to have a different sandwich because I can't eat that one lol. And then they told me they "already made it" and when I explained that I can't eat gluten due to a severe allergy they said "well if we make you another sandwich, we'll lose money". Weird.

Oven stopped working so I got shown the door. Literally drove halfway across San Diego for this.

Today was my third time picking up a to go order from this establishment and I must say they are unfortunately very consistent when it comes to not meeting baseline expectations. The first time my order took an extra 20 min to prepare. The second time I was given the wrong order. This evening I placed an order via their website at 6:43pm and it said it would be ready at 7:13pm. I arrive and told the person behind the counter my name. She said she would bring it out when it was ready. Time passes it’s now been 50 minutes since I placed my order. I check in show them my confirmation and they don’t have my food and don’t know what happened. They tell me to wait a few minutes. Couple minutes later and turns out my food was given to someone else. They made me a new sandwich and I finally left with my order at 7:43 pm. I’m incredibly disappointed with the customer service. I can understand a mistake, I’ve made plenty, however there wasn’t even an apology. There was no acknowledgment of error or waste of my time and zero attempt to make it right. The food is good I’ll give them that but it’s certainly not worth inconsistent service.
