Idego Coffee

Idego is a newer local coffee roaster in Poway. The owner and staff are friendly and are very knowledgeable about coffee. I recently purchased a bag of their Excelsior medium roast and it has been a pleasure to brew it at home. I mostly visit to purchase their fresh roasted coffee beans, but Idego also serves lattes, cappuccinos, mochas. All very tasty aswell. I appreciate that their sweeter drinks still have some coffee that I could taste. Food options are limited. They have a couple of pastries and cookies, but their main focus is coffee. If you are hungry there is a japanese restaurant and five guys next door . 10/10

the mayan mocha is unlike anything I've ever had! and they have swiss water processed decaf! they also have fun little drinks in their fridge like fermensch kombucha :)

Idego is the best coffee in poway, I’ve been to a bunch of the others and this one takes the cake. Really happy this place came through. Definitely worth stopping by! The Mayan mocha is crazy, I believe they make their own chili oil to add that little spice to it. Their espresso itself is also really good .

Every single time I’ve gone here has been heavenly. The coffee (I’ve had their mocha and pumpkin spice) has always been fresh and delicious. The baristas put lots of care into their creations!

Stumbled upon this coffee shop while thrifting. I ordered the Mayan Mocha with oat milk. IT IS DELICIOUS! I wish I had taken a picture before I put the lid on my mug, but the foam art was beautiful. The mocha isn't spicy per say, just warming. It is one of the best mochas I've ever had.

What a cool little hidden gem in Poway. I always look for a different coffee spots when I'm in different areas. I did not want Starbucks so I searched on Yelp and found idego coffee. It looks interesting so I decided to stop by. I'm glad I did because the owner here is very nice. He gave me some good recommendations for pullover. I noticed these machines that I have never seen before so I asked him about it. He told me they were pretty much automatic pull over machines. How cool. He told me they were about 15 grand and by the looks of it it seems like it was worth it. I could just imagine how much time and energy he saves. I got to see the machines I work and they are so awesome, I wish I could have one at my house. Donor is real nice and we had a brief conversation about his history and these machines and I was a cool thing. I'll definitely come back to try his other pour over flavors and see those machines at work.

If you care about the way your coffee tastes and someone who is very knowledgeable with their craft, look no further than Idego coffee. The owner was very nice, very knowledgeable, makes an amazing latte and the syrups are all homemade. Oat milk latte is amazing! Prices a very reasonable!

Excellent coffee, friendly service, clean and simple location. Not sure it has any "atmosphere" it's in a strip mall, but I'm not going to knock them on the location. The bathroom and the shop itself are clean and tidy.
