Ida Claire

This place had been on my radar for a while, and we finally got a chance to go. I must say sweet potato hummus...... so delicious. The grilled pork chops were cooked to perfection, and if you like mules, you definitely should try the Blueberry Mule. Hubby had the triple old fashion and it was great as well. If you have not tried Ida Claire I recommend you add ot to your list. Also if you have dairy or gluten allergies like I do, they will make sure to provide you with options or modify your meal to remove your allergens.

Our waiter Dillion was infectious, made the best suggestions as far as drinks. Appetizers, and of course food. We couldn't decide between Shrimp and grits and Chicken and waffles so he suggested we order each one and they would split each of our entrees in half so we could try each one. I love the shrimp and grits. The prickly pear drink was delicious.

Cool spot. Amazing food.

Vegetarian options: 3 vegetarian options, unclear if they still offer beyond meat, almost everything vegetarian has cheese on it, so vegans be warned, this is not it.

Loved it. The gumbo was fantastic, and the fried green tomatoes were just right. Decent gin selection featuring some local/Texas options (Still Austin, Zephyr Black). Would absolutely go again.
