Iconic Vegan Cafe

We drove 25 minutes to come here to try this place for the first time. My sándwich lions buffalo was great but the Mac and cheese was not. It was dry and had a terribly oily taste, I was not able to finish it. The other plate we got $24 was alright as well. My friend was not able to eat the collard greens, he said the only good thing about the plate was the fried lions Maine. Nothing to write home about, I don’t know how the ratings are so high but I want to be honest in this review and leave the review that the place and the vibe deserves. Between the plate and drink it’s $30 a person. The food didn’t live up to the reviews or price. I know this is a family run spot based on the other reviews but I have to be honest, I was very surprised at the high reviews once we went and ate there. The service was just ok as well. Not to mention all tables were dirty except for one.

Amazing lunch date today! Tried 5 different items from the menu on the board and I was not disappointed with a single one! The first was the philly, smoked to perfection, perfectly seasoned and well cooked! The oyster mushroom basket with fries was smooth and lightly battered to perfection! The birria tacos were smokey and paired perfectly with the consumé. The stuffed baked potato was so flavorful and good, perfectly balance between toppings and potato. Last, the lemonade was sweet with a little bit of tang and complimented the whole meal nicely. Customer service and the overall vibe are not what you would expect for a restaurant located within a grocery store! Please take time to visit you will not regret it, I promise!

Praises to this beautiful family providing the community foods that taste like your favorite dishes but are created from plants and fruits with LOVE!!!! We drive an hour to frequent this phenomenal restaurant! Ngozi loves the soul food plate! The Lions Mane mushrooms are the BEST! Come try them out and say HI! Kid-friendliness: High chairs available! Everything is child friendly and accessible!
