We had a phenomenal experience at Hutong NYC! We are celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff especially the warmth and welcoming nature of the manager and his team especially Jana are topnotched. From the moment I made the reservation through their website to the moment we stepped in everything I included was considered up to the very last detail. The staff are very attentive as well our food and drinks came out smoothly and timely. The food was impeccable. We mostly had different types of dimsums but they all have its own distinct taste and character of premium ingredients: wagyu beef, iberico pork, lobster and prawns. The live jazz music added to the romantic ambiance. They even surprised as with complimentary dish. We capped off with their most popular dessert tower which is not only eye candy in terms of presentarions but everything was a treat to our palate and our personal favorite is the "childhood dessert". This is truly one for the books experience! Kid-friendliness: Upon reservation on their website, you have the option to include all your preferences. We were given a very comfortable spot with a ready high chair the moment we arrived. There are also dietary restrictions considerations.

I had dinner reservations on Thursday night at Hutong NYC with my family. We were seated at a booth in deeper end of the restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful is elegant with very high ceilings. We’re greeted by our Waiter Saul or Sol. This was our first time in the restaurant and boy it was such a great experience. We ordered Flaming Duck as the waiter recommended and Senzen chicken. The food here is a bit spicy so if you dont like spicy dont order the senzen chicken. The waiter also brought us a scoop of ice cream even tho we didn’t order dessert after learning that it was our 30th wedding anniversary. Great service, great food and great waiter. Keep it up, we will definitely be back.

We had a birthday dinner here for a friend. The food was okay, a bit too much MSG, but it came out so fast, we felt rushed and almost choking. Our dinner started at around 6, and even with the cake and the after dinner drinks, we were out by 7:40 for a party of 8. My main complaint is about their wine service. They are very clueless about serving wines there, their glasses were dirty, their pour portions are very erratic (so some people had a full glass and some had a pinch at the end), they shook (this is a horrific thing for a wine-lover) a 1978 Margaux wine, and they served their dessert wine about 20 minutes after the desserts. The lights were so dark you can't really see anything properly. For the price, we paid $2000 for 8, clearly not worth it.

Very elegant restaurant with well designed interior. This restaurant is everything you would expect from high standard restaurant. The flaming duck was just perfect! Wasabi okra delicious. Dim sum just an explosion of flavors. The only thing we ordered crispy noodles and received soft. But overall amazing experience. This place is definitely on the pricy side but well spent money. Service and food were perfect. Definitely recommend it!

Great atmosphere, great food, ok service. Best peking duck I've had! And the dumplings too were outstanding. The service felt rushed and too focused on upselling. While the restaurant was not even close to capacity we felt rushed out. The dirty martini was always quite good!

I had a great experience at Hutong New York, a Chinese restaurant that serves contemporary and occasionally fiery Northern Chinese cuisine, dim sum, and cocktails. The food was delicious, especially the Peking duck and the Mapo Tofu, but a bit on the expensive side. The service was excellent, attentive, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was elegant and glamorous, inspired by the 1920s New York and Shanghai. The restaurant is located in a convenient spot, just a few blocks away from the Central Park and Fifth Avenue. The decoration was stunning, with Art Deco elements and a beautiful bar lounge. I would recommend this place for special occasions, business meetings, or a night out with friends.

Swanky Chinese Restaurant. Food was Ok, $100 for one martini, one radish, salad, and Kung Pau pork with white rice, a little pricey but not over the top for NYC. The service was wonderful.
