Did the lunch menu with the starter, entree and side. Service was great but it was a bit slow for lunch. They have a full bar and various cocktails on their menu worth trying. Lunch combo varies in price depending on 2,3,4 plate combo. And gives you options to pick in each category. For the starters tried the dim sum platter of the mushroom and spinach and prawn dim sum. The spinach one wasn’t too great the prawn was ok but a little bland. The entree was the chicken in scallion and sprouts and side was the vegetarian noodles. But could do with a bit more spice. The noodles lacked more flavor than the chicken but once added in with the chilli oil and mixed both together it was a good combo. The drink was the non alcoholic one with the cherry and it really tasted like a cream soda so quite refreshing.
Chic Chinese restaurant in Brickell. Very stylish decor, great food and drinks. Service can be uneven despite good effort on behalf of staff. They need better training. Food is very good! Excellent quality and execution. It is expensive though!
Bad experience, worse service, cold food, first and last time.
While the food, at least the (10% of our order that actually made it to our table) was pretty good, we waited for 1.5 hours for something other than an appetizer. Gave it a 3 since we tasted 3 out of 9 dishes. My appetizers were brought out 20 min earlier than my friend’s and became cold while we waited for his. We left early, asked for a check and the waiter was like “oh, sure”. Left the place with a bitter feeling and oh, by the way, 20% tip included. Saved 400$, don’t bother coming here.
Most of the dishes arrived cool or Luke warm which was surlrising given we were an early party of 4. Flavor was good however room temptress ribs are not acceptable anytime let alone Luke warm fried rice
I make reservations for Valentine’s Day . There was no table ready and the male at the hostess table was rude. I had to wait at the bar for over 30 minutes and the bartender never came to take our drink orders or the waiter. After the 30 minute wait I was directed to my table and we waited over 90 minutes for our meal. After all the wait I was exhausted and ask for them to just give me our order to go. Surprisingly it was ready within 5 minutes. When I got home I discovered my order was incomplete. I order a fried rice and it was poorly made and soggy and they never packed the sauce for the Peking Duck and the pancakes that go along with it.
Will never come back. Food was not good at all. Fried rice had a funny taste to it. Dim sum taste as if it’s purchased from the Chinese market and just steamed in the back, and not even a good market. Other customers who say this place is good have obviously not tried good dim sum. Definitely not worth the money.
Hutong was amazing and we have a great time. The ambience is a captivating blend of modern sophistication and traditional charm, providing a perfect backdrop for the culinary journey that awaits. Each dish is a masterpiece, a harmonious dance of flavors and textures. The impeccable service adds an extra layer of refinement to the overall dining experience. Hutong is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary adventure that elevates Chinese fusion cuisine to new heights.
