We came here last night and as we arrived a song with a racial slur was playing. My husband sang along to this song with the racial slur which the bartender took offense to. We in no way think using racist language is acceptable in any form and my husband admitted making that mistake. The bartender (who was also singing along to the same song) said if he apologized and shook his hand he would still serve us. My husband complied and as requested, apologized and shook his hand, we were then still refused service. The bartender then felt the need to come out and call us racist to the doorstaff. I feel like this venue should choose the song choices alot more carefully if a member of staff was this offened. It was my birthday and this venue was completely dead... I feel like this business lost money last night for a situation being completely escalated into something it wasn't by staff
Went in only 2 people in the bar... we as a party of 6 was asked to leave by the bar tender as we was singing along to songs being played in the bar and bar tender was offended. We all apologised for any offence that was caused (as told by the bar tender) despite us singing to a song the bar allowed, to then being told our apology wasn't good enough and that we needed to get out. My advice would be to not play songs that servers are offended by and to also train them to not be rude to customers especially a party of 6 when there was only 2 other people in the bar. They are responsible for your loss of money this evening.
I really enjoyed it in there but the only trouble was I couldn't pay for drinks with cash and could only pay with card, I used my funds in my bank and only had cash left so I went home earlier than I wanted to
Staff are on point. DJ is Sick. Shout out to DJ Swizzy and the other DJs. Big shout out to the awesome bar staff. Keep doing what you're doing. If you've not been here. Give it a go. Especially on a Saturday.
Really enjoyed the drinks and the music, but I'm pretty certain they were making up drink prices cause they were constantly changing, super expensive, and the short female with blue/brunette hair was so rude! As soon as we came to the bar, she had such an attitude, got the impression she couldn't be bothered with us and didn't want to serve us, she was stood there with a face on for 5 minutes before she actually acknowledged us. I would have left if I hadn't just paid £4 to get in.
Hula is a mad, mad place. Hot, and likely to make you have to miss a day of work for getting too 'refreshed'.
Decent place but it stinks
Beware of workers adding tips to your drinks without asking. Especially the short brunette woman. Will not be returning.
