HUG BBQ

A bbq place that has that homemade taste with lots of love and care put into everything. I got the brisket burger and it was great! Add some of their bbq sauce on it and it’ll make you want to go give everyone in that kitchen a hug! I was so happy the beans were good, I live in Austin and for some reason they make baked beans with pinto beans, so it was nice to get some real baked beans. The Mac n cheese was amazing. AMAZING!!! I put my fork in and lifted my bite up and melted cheese, real cheese was dripping from my fork. THE BEST COLESLAW, the taste and texture are exactly what coleslaw should be. Yummy Nana pudding! We were going to get it to go but we decided to eat there. We are visiting up here for the Tx2k24 races. I used Google to look for a bbq place. There are some close to the track but either they weren’t high enough rating or they were closed when they should be open or I didn’t like their menu. I’m so happy no other place worked out and it led me here. The half hour drive from the track was well worth it.

I’m actually super excited this bbq place is so close to where I live AND has great tasting bbq! The house-made spicy BBQ sauce is to DIE FOR! It’s SOO GOOD!! In my time eating bbq (my entire life as a Texas native) a bbq place that can cook chicken RIGHT (and not be dry) can do just about anything and this spot fits the bill!! I know they are a fairly new business to the area so they are still getting their footing and doing their best to prevent waste. This conservative (and smart) approach limits customer choice when it comes to having the ability to order exactly what they want. That said, y’all blow them up!! It’s completely worth it and better than the other bbq spots I’ve visited in the area. That baked potato is the TRUTH! I can’t wait to see them grow to a point where they’re not as stringent with what you can an can’t purchase. My patronage alone can’t get them where they SHOULD be. So yeah, the ONLY reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because you have to order it the way they offer rather than how you want it.

This is good bbq. I had the brisket burger and my husband had the brisket plate. The greens were tasty and tender, the loaded mashed potatoes were bomb, the mac n cheese is cheesy. I'm coming back for some ribs on my next visit!

A Hidden Gem, that me & my family have fell in love with.. we eat there at least twice a week, The owner & staff are amazing just like the food, me & the owner have had talks multiple times we even share the same middle name. lol.. Last night I had the honor of trying the stuffed potato, OMG, 3-adults ate on it, it was amazing, If I cold give them 10 stars I would.. Keep doing y’all thing, blessing the community with great food & Love.. Everyone has to go buy here at least once & you will definitely be going back..
