Huckaby's Smokehouse BBQ Steaks & Sweets

went in for the first time. Lady at the register, while I was asking a couple questions, says, "you gonna order or not?" Needless to say, I didn't. Walked out and went to city bbq. Won't go back.

Solid BBQ place. Portions are very generous. Service is friendly. Pulled pork was great and the brisket was okay/. Fried chicken was fresh but not something I would recommend. Comfortable and spacious dine in space. Will definitely go again when I am in the area.

I have had the chicken twice. Once smoked and once fried. The smoked was great. The fried was so so. I had a coupon for a bogo of chicken dinner. I am sure the coupon did not state fried chicken. It said buy one chicken dinner get the second free. I went in to order and was told it was only for fried. The lady at the counter would not show me the coupon again. The lady at the counter was not the nicest or welcoming. Probably will not go back. I your reply to my original post. I did not call to order over the phone. I just walked in. I asked for smoked chicken and was told only fried for the coupon. Still probably won't be back.

Got the smoke whole wings with Alabama White sauce and green beans! Wow, what an amazing meal. Great taste and awesome portion size for the price. I've been here twice and there will most certainly be a third... and fourth!

Management was rude and condescending razed her voice like a animal. Got the owner to correct this. ( she was still acting out ) he came over ans didn't care and let her proceed with her rant. so unprofessional not a place we need in our town

Food: does not taste like food from a smokehouse. Rather bland. The sauces are limited and pretty average. Atmosphere: there was a huge pile of dirt and leaves at the front door inside the restaurant. My sister asked them Why they didn’t just sweep it up? They said the wind would just blow it back in and they were busy. Then someone swept it up. We were almost the only people in the restaurant a few minutes before noon. I suppose they were shorthanded. Service: the person working the cash register was a little surly and either having a bad day or just didn’t like her job. I hope they can work things out and improve their business. Good luck to them. I can’t see any reason for us to return.

The wonderful woman that took our order made us feel so welcomed and was so outstanding! She was very caring and tentative. The brisket was so good and she had wonderful chicken and dumpling soup!! I also tried the salmon and loved it! So much food for the price! We also got some apple cobbler to take home and it was so good! We will be back!!

Brisket was tough and dry. Collards were very good. Expected better food from a Huckaby. May come back and try the pork.
