Hubbard and Cravens is the worst company I have ever worked for. I manage my own shop now and have the experience and hindsight to say I have never worked for a business that is such a liability. Open OSHA lawsuits during my time there, no transparency on company values, communication was horrible, negligent hiring processes (my manager somehow took over the store a couple of weeks into being a barista role at the company, with 0 relevant managerial or coffee experience, and Marcie Hubbard had the audacity to pretend like it was anyone but her own fault that her store was a mess). I ultimately left because of sexual harassment, Fran Quinn who has a documented history of harassment BOTH at our store AND at Butlet University threatened me and I took the issue to corporate and was told he was a regular and would not be banned from the store. Marcie Hubbard is a snake only interested in protecting her own wealth, someone needs to put that sick woman in her place.
After finishing the upgrades to the front of the house over the summer, seating is much better. The cinnamon rolls are always a hot item and often don't stay in the case past midmorning. Should they have them when you visit, they go wonderfully with a latte. As always, the staff is pleasant and pretty quick. This is one of my go to places on the near north side.
Vegetarian options: Offer alternative milks and, generally, sone vegetarian food options. Dietary restrictions: Offers alternative milks and will use clean resources if allergy is disclosed. Parking: There is generally a good amount of parking spaces open throughout the day, but, in the event that there isn’t, free street parking is not hard you find. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to worry about and wheelchair friendly tables. There appears to be enough room to maneuver through the cafe
My favorite coffee shop in the city. Always top notch coffee and tea.
