Howling Hops Brewery and Tank Bar

Terrible place. We had a few pints on a Saturday night. My boyfriend is diabetic and has cans of full fat coca cola on him at all times. We had no problems for the first few rounds getting in and going out but we were refused service after a few drinks as my boyfriend had his Coca Cola on him. Bouncer wouldn’t let us in because of this. I explained to him that my boyfriend is diabetic and he needs sugar in order to keep his blood sugar levels correct. The bouncer said “he’s not going to die”. After we explained how important this is. Appalling service, clearly needs some training on disability’s and hidden disability’s. I am disgusted. People should be able to feel safe and comfortable at this pub even with a disability. Some equality training is very much needed!

The beers here are fantastic, and to be honest why else would you come to a brewery! They have a wide selection of very different tasting beers, my favourite today was the topical pale ale which I found was a really easy session beer. The food, which is done by an outside vendor I thought was average at best, very overpriced and a little underwhelming. I had a burger which was £10.20 for what was a very small not massively tasty burger. So in short if you’re going here for some drinks it’s definitely worth while.

Cool space with nice atmosphere; everything you would expect from a brewery taproom in an industrial area. Very interesting barley wine (big sherry notes!). Pints are expensive, but then so are all pints in London, and here you get them straight from the tank.

My favourite London tap room, they were pioneers on the tank bar concept and still going strong.

Taproom that does a selection of average+ beers and food that changes cuisine from time to time. Worth a visit if you haven't been and are in the area.
